Thievery Corporation will headline and curate the Outernational Music Tour;
comprised of six select live dates across the United States beginning June 20th in
San Francisco and ending in their home town of Washington DC on June 28th.
As long-time aficionados and purveyors of blunted world grooves and electronica,
a sound aesthetic they simply dub “outernational,” Thievery Corporation have
invited an array of like-minded musicians and friends to join them on tour:
from the Brazilian roots rhythms of Seu Jorge, Argentinean soul of Federico
Aubele, Venezuelan funk of Los Amigos Invisibles, and the Brazilian bossa nova

The third annual Green Apple Festival, produced in partnership with Earth Day Network and

Earth Day festival in Washington DC
Washington DC is holding their annual Earth Day festival on the National Mall in
downtown DC. Rob and Eric of Thievery Corporation will be DJing at the Green Apple
Festival on Sunday, April 20th. The festival will include performances by many artists
in addition to the Thievery DJ set such as The Roots, Gov't Mule, Umphrey's McGee, Toots &

Dub Echoes Documentary
At first, one might think that reggae and dance music don’t have much
to do with each other. But that’s a false perception.
The documentary "Dub Echoes" aims to show how this Jamaican invention
called dub ended up influencing much of the music we hear today, from
electronic music to hip-hop, transforming the studio in a musical
instrument and giving way to all of sonic experiments.
"Dub Echoes" was produced by a brazilian crew, in Kingston (Jamaica),
London (UK), NY, Washington, LA (US), Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo (Brazil).
Key names, from both reggae and the electronic music world, talk
about the birth of this genre, how it helped to change the way we
perceive music and how it’s presence can still be felt today.

TThe 4-day Heineken Paredes de Coura Festival takes place on the banks of the River

The band have just returned from making their first-ever Australian appearances this month with
Good Vibrations festival dates in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth. Despite a few event sound
problems here and there (local authorities threatened to pull the plug after complaints about noise
levels from neighbours) the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and with a special DJ appearance
from Rob and Eric selling out in less than 3 days, it appears that our friends down under are pretty
big fans of the Corporation. The band had an absolutely amazing time and pass on thanks to everyone
who made it out. They’re currently recovering from jetlag after a 33 hour return journey – and getting
prepared for their upcoming show on March 8th at Langerado.

Millions of people live in the shadow of a tragedy that is far from over - in fact, that may be just beginning.
Thievery Corporation is proud to team up with Mondano (meaning 'world citizen'), a grass-roots nonprofit group in Washington DC. The CHERNOBYL::20 (C20) collaboration is bringing photographers and musicians together to focus attention on Chernobyl's continuing consequences.
Thievery Corporation has just released a new single, "The Passing Stars" exclusively on iTunes. The proceeds will help charities working in the regions most affected by Chernobyl. The track, an outtake from the The Cosmic Game recording sessions, is a haunting, moody gem with the late Pam Bricker's unmistakable voice. Along with the single comes a digital booklet of select photos from the C20 photo exhibition, which takes a humanistic view of life after Chernobyl through the eyes of some of the world's top photographers.
And that's just for starters. Later this year, a full-length benefit CD compilation will be released, featuring music donated by international recording artists and a special slideshow of C20 images.

Thievery Corporation rocks tens of thousands at Operation Ceasefire in Washington, DC
On September 24th hundreds of thousands of citizens marched and rallied in the
nation's capitol to demand an end to the US wars of occupation and a return of
our soldiers to their homes and families. After the march, the crowds were
energized by stellar performances by Steve Earle, The Bellrays, Wayne Kramer,
Joan Baez, Living Things, HeadRoc, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, The Coup, Le Tigre,
Thievery Corporation and many more. Key speakers at Operation Ceasefire were
Cindy Sheehan, Al Sharpton, Jim Hightower, Rep. Maxine Waters. The concert will
be a incredible historical moment and Thievery Corporation would like to thank
Adam Eidinger, Scott Goodstein, Robin Bell, Mat, Stone and Kalani from ESL
Music, Seth Hurwitz, Chad Houseknecht, & Gus Vitale from IMP, and Leslie

Thievery Corporation has stepped forward to headline Operation Ceasefire,
potentially the largest anti-war concert ever held in Washington, DC. On
September 24th, immediately after the massive march on Washington, DC.,
organized to demand the return of American troops from Iraq, the free concert

Thievery Corporation touring results
Thievery Corporation have returned home after 2 and half months of touring.
Garza, Hilton and the group made DC history when they sold out 3 nights at the
legendary 9:30 Club in Washington, DC for the tour finale.
Two days before the DC shows, Thievery Corporation played to 7,000 fans in
Athens at the ancient Petra Open Air Theatre.
The tour was agreat success and Thievery Corporation would like to thank all
the supporters for coming out to the shows, all the promoters, Sam Kirby from
William Morris and Seth Hurwitz from IMP.
After a brief rest, Garza and Hilton will begin work on their next full length
LP.

Thievery Corporation have been named official spokespersons for the United
Nations World Food Programme. After initial contact from the organization,
Thievery Corporation organized a benefit DJ performance in DC with IMP for

Tour plans are being finalized
US and European live tour plans are being finalized and it looks like
the
North American leg will begin in early May on the West Coast and finish up in
late May on the East Coast. After this quick North American tour, Thievery
will co-headline a three-date, multi-city festival in Zagreb, Croatia;
Belgrade,
Serbia; and Skopje, Macedonia with Faithless. Over 100,000 people are
expected to attend the event.

This is incredible success for an independent artist with little to no

radio play and no big corporate money and marketing behind them.

The album has stormed to success in the UK debuting at #74 in the UK’s
national charts as well as #8 on the indie charts and #2 on the dance charts.
